Hello and welcome to Tacoma Community College’s Pearl A. Wanamaker Library Collection Development Blog (better known as the Wanamaker Collection Development Blog)! We, the library staff, created this blog to keep the TCC Community informed of the latest books that are added to our collection. Many faculty, staff, and students do not know what we have available, so we created this tool to help keep everyone “in the loop.” We plan to do many exciting things with this blog, so definitely stay tuned!

As an example, we plan to break down our entries by collection development sections (economics, political science, etc.) to better assist you, the patron, in finding a particular book that coincides with your academic discipline. We plan to scan the covers of new books so you can not only read about them, but see them too!

Also, please be patient with us as we grow. This is our first step into the world of blogging in order to better bridge the information gap. Welcome and stay tuned!

Your TCC Library Staff

P.S. Please feel free to ask any questions or give any comments you may have in the comments section below. We want this to be a completely inclusive/responsive blog. We aren’t just here to inform, but to gain even more (collection development) ideas, and answer questions too!
